Durankulak is a quiet little village close to the sea and close to the Romanian border, north east Bulgaria. This part of Bulgaria is relatively un-touched by tourism and almost undiscovered by people from the U.K. If you want to escape from the mass-tourist areas and discover the true Bulgaria - come to Durankulak !  

Some people like to get away from the hustle and bustle of lively, modern resorts. Our villa in Durankulak provides a wonderful alternative for those who want a quiet, relaxed holiday in a wonderful little village where a horse and cart is a common sight, along with goats being herded along the roads and geese being allowed to roam freely. Where the silence is disturbed mostly by the sounds of bird song and the hum of insects. Cars are rarely heard and drunken yobs are non-existant.
 
But, if the peace and quiet becomes too much, there are many attractions nearby, including the wonderful beaches, lakes and historic sites. Car hire is recommended to make the most of your stay. A short journey will take you to the livelier towns along the coast, where there are many shops and tourist attractions. Here in Durankulak, you have the best of both worlds - peace and tranquility, with many tourist attractions nearby. Come and pay us a visit - you wont regret it !
